Meet the Team: Thuy Truong, Technical Lead
At BTM Global, we believe our work is about more than technology. It’s about our people and our relationships with clients and colleagues. We hope this “Meet the Team” series gives you a better understanding of the personalities and passions that make up BTM Global!
Thuy Truong was looking for a new company that would challenge his skills and improve his global work experience. He found that with BTM Global 14 years ago. Read on to learn what keeps him interested in his work and committed to our clients!
What are your responsibilities at BTM?
I collaborate with the U.S.-based team to investigate, clarify and find solutions for client issues. I also work on a project’s technical documents and technical solutions.
What made you want to join the BTM Global team?
Before joining BTM, I had worked for two companies. However, my work was becoming less challenging and less interesting. I wanted to be in a global environment that would improve both my technical and English skills. I found that opportunity with BTM.
At BTM, I can improve myself, learn new technology, and get experience working with teams around the world. BTM has a friendly environment and culture and, after 14 years of working here, I think I made a good move!
What excites you about your work?
I like to research new integrations, investigate difficult issues and support my coworkers. In retail, there are so many integration opportunities, such as payment, sales audit, price management, etc. I enjoy working with team members to find the best solution for each.
What do you wish others in the industry knew about BTM?
BTM is the best partner for implementing, supporting, and consulting with clients on retail and ERP solutions.
What keeps you interested in the retail technology space?
Knowledge sharing, learning from coworkers on new technologies/solutions, and finding solutions that meet the specific requirements for each client.
Tell us about your life outside of work.
I have a family and I enjoy studying, playing, and taking care of my sons, as well as going out with my family on the weekends. I also play badminton with my coworkers twice a week.
